The Olympus National Park enables every visitor to enjoy the magic of the mountain in various ways. The distinct paths in summer and the ski slopes in winter attract hundreds of visitors from all over the world.
Hiking
The location "Giosos" refuge on the Plateau of Muses is ideal for mountaineers' excursions on the high peaks of mountain Olympus (Mytikas and Stefani), as access to the corresponding gutters is quite close, and the time distance till the peaks is about 1 to 1.30 hours.
Rock climbing
Mountain Olympus is, undoubtedly, an attraction for our co- climbers who want to enjoy climbing on the slopes of Stefani and Skolio. The staff of the refuge is willing to give any information about climbing routes in that area.
Ski mountaineering
Due to its height and volume, Olympus is a unique destination for ski mountaineering in Greece. During the winter months, the quality and amount of the snow can compare to that of Alps. Several skiers from Greece and from all over the world, cross the mountain of the Gods with their skis and enjoy the magnificent slopes. And for those of you who are more adventurous, why not experience some of the steep couloirs!
